I hope this to be true but I don't think I like the actor for the Kenshin role....

RUMOR: Rurouni Kenshin to come back as live action movie ..Sato Takeru cast as 'Himura Kenshin'?

Popular manga, “Rurouni Kenshin” (Shonen Jump in 1994~1999) will come back as a live action movie.

Although Rurouni Kenshin came out as an anime, it was too difficult to make a live action version due to the lack of CG skills at that time.

Actor, Sato Takeru will be playing Himura Kenshin who is a legendary assassin. Takeru is currently in popular drama “Ryomaden” as Okada Izo who is a Samurai of the late Edo period. Since Takeru plays the role of a Samurai very well, he was chosen to play Kenshin as well.

The shoot for the movie will start this summer.

But these are also noted, so I hope it's really true ><  (credit: [livejournal.com profile] anduril_narsil in this post)

- Watsuki (the mangaka) has declined several offers from Hollywood, but he decided to go ahead with this one.
- The development is already there for a long time, but they're waiting for the CG to catch up so they can do commendable jobs on the fast-breaking sword actions.
- Other names that were mentioned apart from Takeru are Miura Haruma, Ikuta Toma, Oguri Shun.

hmmmm these names are big to be in this movie altogether.... but that's good I guess ^^;;

Why stay up there in one hour??

by Alfred Lambremont Webre, JD, MEd

BEIJING, July 8 (RIA Novosti) A UFO blocked the Hanzhou city airport in the
eastern-chinese province of Zheijang on Thursday for one hour.

According to reports from Xinhua News Agency, the UFO appeared in the skys
over the Xiaoshan airport at around 9:00 PM local time (3:00 PM
middle-european summer time). "The passengers were immediately informed
about the closure of the airport", Xinhua cites one official.

However, "eye-witnesses could not see a UFO because it would have required
special equipment".

The UFO caused a one-hour break of airport activity. Many passengers left
Hanzhou with a delay of three to four hours. Incoming flights were
redirected to other airports.

Now the airport has resumed its usual activities, while experts are further
investigating this incident.

The news agency does not communicate any further details about the event.
