A sniper killed the hostage taker. Okay it's finished. But it's sooooo depressing.  I feel like I lost all my energy just watching the drama.

There are survivors but it's so shameful.  I want to say sorry to all the victims and their families.

I actually planned to rest early but with this, I feel restless. sigh

so sorry to hear about this.

heard this on the radio this morning. they said the hostage-taker used to be a police captain that was removed from his job for corruption (taking bribes, etc.), claimed he was innocent but felt he never got a hearing. so he went and took a busload of tourists and children hostage to...demand his job back?? he must have been mental. how on earth could he expect to get back a position of public trust after doing that?

but...this is sadly common in our country too -- some crazy man (and it is always a man) gets angry and feels wronged, so he goes and shoots up the workplace or takes hostages. police here refer to it as "suicide by police" because it always ends with the death of the gunman by police fire. what a tragedy. i am so sorry for the loss of life and the damage to our social fabric. guns should not be legal, because most of the time they are used for things like this or for crimes.

Yeah, it's so sad to see people going berserk over problems that they thought can be solved through harsh actions. *sigh*

Ewan ko kung magagalit o malulungkot sa drama na ito pero bakit dito nahantong kung kailan maayos na kaninang umaga bago pa ako matulog!! DX

As expected, sira ang turismo. Tapos nagsabi pa ang MalacaƱang nung hapon na di daw makakaapekto sa turismo to? Stupid ba?

Haaaayyyy I thought simpleng hostage lang yun when I saw it on yahoo yesterday, kaso pag-uwi ko on-going pa din pala, you're right, it's depressing and at the same time stressing. I'm wondering why it took that long?! I felt like we've been laughed at by other countries for what happened... And for sure, may travel advisory na naman ang other countries *sigh*. I feel bad about the victims, and also for the family of the hostage-taker. Loads of people had been dragged into something so awful :(

At least one nightmare is over. Thank goodness they were able to stop the guy.

True. But fatalities should've been avoided if the authorities made their move early on. *sigh*
